NEW YORK, March 5 (Reuters) -- COMEX gold gained
ground despite more supply laid on the market by the
Bank of England's latest and last auction of gold
reserves, and traders said they now expect gold to be
able to climb higher.
Immediately following the bank's 20-tonne gold sale,
there was almost no reaction in the London bullion

We have received more encouragement from Harmony
Gold through a letter, appended here, from the
company's chairman, Adam Fleming, who reminds us
implicitly that the most basic support we can give to
the gold cause is to buy and hold gold as a store of
value. It would be great if more mines made it as easy
to buy gold as Harmony does.

chairman and executive director of South African gold
miner Durban Roodepoort Deep Ltd. (DROOY), has been
suspended from his executive director position, a
company source said Monday.
The suspension means he will cease all executive functions,
though he will remain as an ordinary director and will be free
to carry out these duties, the source said.
