James Turk: Gold approaches an important breakout point

Last Wednesday's dispatch about the free compact

vacation at U.S. government expense at Guantanamo
Bay in Cuba.
This was mere speculation at best, at worst your
secretary/treasurer's attempt at another joke.
In fact, Murphy successfully left the United States
Saturday for the gold conference under way today and
Monday in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and
he fully expects to be readmitted to the U.S. this
week, though of course his flight back to Dallas may
be temporarily diverted to Portland, Maine, so that
the shoes of its passengers can be inspected for gold
dust and other subversive substances.
