Reserve's supposed retreat from its policy of
keeping U.S. interest rates low indefinitely,
consider commentary tonight at CBSMarketWatch by
Irwin Kellner, who notes America's precarious
balance on top of a mountain of adjustable-rate
debt. Kellner writes that a much stronger and
job-producing recovery will be required before
the Fed raises rates and risks any avalanches
down the debt mountain.
