Nebraska ends income taxes on gold and silver, declares CBDCs not lawful money

With Gov. Jim Pillen's signature last night, Nebraska has become the 12th state to end capital gains taxes on sales of gold and silver.

LB 1317 is the fourth major sound-money bill to become law this year, as state lawmakers across the nation scramble to protect the public from the ravages of inflation and runaway federal debt.

Interviewed this week by Patrick Vierra of Silver Bullion TV in Singapore, Money Metals Exchange CEO Stefan Gleason explains the work of the Sound Money Defense League in the United States. The league lately has assisted passage of legislation in 45 of the 50 states to exempt monetary metals coin and bullion from sales taxes. 

The league also has been encouraging states to hold some of their cash reserves in monetary metal to hedge their exposure to the U.S. dollar.

Anyone waiting on the sidelines for gold to go on sale is getting just what they asked for today.

Gold began diving right as trading opened overseas last evening, and the plunge gained steam in New York trading today.

As I write, gold is down nearly $60 (2.5%) and has yet to show any significant resistance to the selling pressure.
