Dear Friend of GATA and Gold:
Report on Business Television in Toronto, which might
as well call itself Radio Free America, continues to
distinguish itself from CNBC in the United States by
allowing guests to mention the suppression of the
gold price.
It happened again yesterday as ROB-TV did a long
interview with Peter Grandich, editor and publisher
of Grandich Publications. Grandich cited Sprott Asset
Management President John Embry, a frequent guest on
ROB-TV, as authority for the belief that the gold
market is being manipulated. Grandich said he isn't
yet convinced himself about manipulation of the
gold market but that he IS convinced of manipulation
of the silver market, on account of the overwhelming
short position in silver and the small number of major
silver traders.
While he didn't cite GATA consultant Ted Butler by
name, Butler's heroic work clearly was behind
Grandich's remarks on silver.
Manipulation or not, Grandich predicted that gold will
be rising to $500 per ounce by the end of the year.

Grandich appears in the last quarter of the noon
segment, which includes his comments about
manipulation of the gold market, and throughout the
12:30 and 1:25 segments.
As long as Canada is free and its borders porous,
there just may be hope for the United States.
