The creator of litecoin has sold off all of his holdings in the cryptocurrency he created.

Charlie Lee, who founded litecoin in 2011, said on Reddit today that he had "sold and donated" all of his litecoin tokens over the past few days -- except for some physical ones he keeps as "collectibles."

A crypto-currency exchange in South Korea is shutting down after it was hacked for the second time in less than eight months.

Youbit, which lets people buy and sell bitcoins and other virtual currencies, has filed for bankruptcy after losing 17 percent of its assets in the cyberattack.
