Dear Friend of GATA and Gold:
U.S. Rep. Ron Paul put a statement into the
Congressional Record last Thursday to introduce
his Monetary Freedom and Accountability Act,
requiring the president and treasury secretary
to get Congress' approval before intervening in
the gold market. That statement made
substantial reference to GATA's work and
appended the recent article in Insight magazine

Gold has broken out and there is no shortage of
theories as to why and where it's going from here.
But, according to Chad Williams, investors should
pay no attention to outlooks based on supply and
demand, hedging, central bank sales or even flight
to safety issues.

Dear Friend of GATA and Gold:
GATA has gotten some great publicity in Europe in
the last week.
The Italian financial newspaper Borsa amp; Finanza
published a big article about GATA in its February 8
issue, done as an interview with yours truly. That
issue of Borsa amp; Finanza also contained an interview
with David Watt of the Phoenix Gold Fund, headlined,

Gold is moving sharply to the upside in early New
York trading as more concern surfaces over troubled
JPMorgan/Chase -- the huge trading/banking
operation many analysts feel has played a critical

Dear Friend of GATA and Gold:
Because of the early-morning broadcast time of the
GATA Washington conference on C-SPAN2 today
and the slight notice GATA was able to give people
about it, many GATA supporters were not able to
view it.
The issues discussed at this conference by Catherine
Austin Fitts, Chris Powell, and myself are as important
as any to American citizens and investors around the
