Dear Friend of GATA and Gold (and Silver):

A gold and silver conference in Madrid, Spain, on June 18 seems likely to have a strong GATA orientation. It's the conference planned by the Spanish Precious Metal Society OroyFinanzas, Portal Oro, and the Juan de Mariana Institute.

Among the speakers will be:

-- James Turk, founder of GoldMoney, editor of the Freemarket Gold & Money Report, and consultant to GATA.

-- Hugo Salinas Price, president of the Mexican Civic Association for Silver, longtime GATA supporter, and speaker at GATA's Yukon and Washington conferences.

-- Economist and monetary historian Antal Fekete, speaker at GATA's Yukon conference, whose work often has been publicized by GATA.

-- Economist and university professor Juan Ramon Rallo.

-- Kinbauri Gold Corp. President Vern N. Rampton.

The Madrid conference is believed to be the first called in Spain to be dedicated to gold and silver as monetary assets.
