Gold backwardation examined on Canada's Business News Network
1:10a ET Tuesday, December 9, 2008
Dear Friend of GATA and Gold:
Thanks to Peter Grandich of Agoracom (http://grandich.agoracom.com/), who prompted them to do it, backwardation of the gold market was discussed at length Monday on the Business News Network in Canada as Kim Parlee and Andrew Bell interviewed John Ing, CEO of Toronto investment house Maison Placements. While Ing was cautious on the issue, he concurred that demand for gold in hand is soaring and may be upending the gold paper market, even as the world may be developing what he called a "bailout fatigue" that will drive people to gold for wealth preservation.
