Paul urges gold standard, abolition of Fed on CNBC

Dear Friend of GATA and Gold:

GoldSeek has posted a video from the March 20 "Kudlow & Co." program on CNBC in which U.S. Rep. Ron Paul and Faiz Shakir, research director for the Center for American Progress, debated (unfortunately, for less than six minutes) whether the Federal Reserve should be abolished and replaced with a gold standard for U.S. currency. The essence of their disagreement was whether the Fed has caused or ameliorated the country's financial problems since its founding in 1913, and it would have been nice for CNBC to give them time to get into that more.
