Stunning generosity to GATA by two longtime supporters

Dear Friend of GATA and Gold:

Two longtime friends and supporters of GATA came through for us again with stunning generosity this week.

Richard Olsen of New Jersey, who had purchased several of the autographed and numbered series of prints of the "GATA" painting by renowned artist Alain Despert, volunteered to return one of the prints to the organization and bring it to New Orleans so that it might be auctioned Tuesday night during GATA's reception at the New Orleans Investment Conference.

Thanks to the talent of our impromptu auctioneer, Christopher R. Castroviejo, founder of Smart TradePro, the auction was a laugh riot.

It ended with the sensational bid of $10,000 by Kirkland Lake Gold President Brian A. Hinchcliffe.

GATA is deeply grateful to Olson, Hinchcliffe, and Kirkland Lake Gold, and thanks everyone who attended the reception, which seems to have been much enjoyed by all. The venue -- Latrobe's on Royal, just a few blocks from the New Orleans Marriott hotel, site of the conference -- was decked out beautifully, and the food, drink, and service there were spectacular. GATA hopes to be back at Latrobe's next year.
