Help compel Treasury to answer New York Post's John Crudele
11a ET Saturday, July 28, 2007
Dear Friend of GATA and Gold:
Longtime GATA supporter Mike Riley of Cedarburg, Wisconsin, has taken an initiative GATA encourages all its U.S. supporters to take. Riley has written to his U.S. representative to ask that he inquire with the U.S. Treasury Department about the year-old Freedom of Information Act request filed with Treasury by the New York Post's John Crudele about the activities of the President's Working Group on Financial Markets, also known as the Plunge Protection Team, believed to be an agency of market rigging.
Crudele's latest column about the stonewalling of his request can be found here:
Riley's letter is below. Sending similar letters to your U.S. representative and senators would take only a few minutes and well might have an impact.
CHRIS POWELL, Secretary/Treasurer
Gold Anti-Trust Action Committee Inc.

Dear Congressman:
Will you please check on this FOIA request to Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson?
I would uge compliance with federal law. Perhaps the request has been honored?
If that is the case, I would like to get a copy of the reply to the request, even if costs are involved. I will pay for the copy.
Please advise.
Sincerely,
Michael P. Riley
Cedarburg, Wisconsin
