Bron Suchecki: A mystery gold depositor at the New York Fed

Perth Mint research director Bron Suchecki calculates that the Federal Reserve Bank of New York lately has been accepting some gold deposits even as it has been repatriating gold to central bank depositors. "Either another central bank deposited physical," Suchecki writes, "or the Federal Reserve Bank of New York moved some of its -- that is, America's -- gold reserves into the account of another central bank."

Suchecki acknowledges that central banks are unlikely to declare whatever they're doing here.
