Koos Jansen: Huge gold offtake continues on Shanghai exchange

Withdrawals from the Shanghai Gold Exchange for the week ending December 19, a proxy for Chinese gold demand generally, were between 51 and 61 tonnes, with withdrawals for the year to date likely exceeding 2,000 tonnes, Bullion Star market analyst and GATA consultant Koos Jansen reports today.
