Alasdair Macleod: Gold vs. the money supply

Gold's price as a ratio between metal supply and total U.S. dollar cash adjusted for inflation is only what it was in 2006, GoldMoney research director Alasdair Macleod writes today. "So instead of the gold/dollar exchange rate nominally rising by 324 percent," Macleod writes, "in real terms it has risen only by 39 percent in 13 years."
